Short Course: Introduction to One Health

Updated: Apr 11, 2023

One Health is a holistic and multidisciplinary approach addressing a wide range of health issues through policies, programs, and research to achieve better public health outcomes. The areas of work where One Health approach is particularly relevant include food safety, control of zoonotic diseases, and combating antimicrobial resistance.

In commemoration of the 96th CPH Foundation and 57th SEAMEO TropMed Philippines Anniversary, this regional short course will be offered to local and international health, allied health, and collaborating professionals as part of their continuing professional development. By introducing One Health and its importance to a multidisciplinary group of participants, this course provides a venue for initial interaction and discussion of professionals with varying backgrounds but with common interests that will pave the way for future partnerships and collaborations in the region and beyond. This event is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero hunger), 3 (Good health and well- being) and 17 (Partnership for goals).
